Dept of Transport- R5.5 billion towards public transport

The Department of Transport has received a R5.5 billion cash injection, towards improving public transport in 13 cities across mzansi.

One of the key priorities of the budget-is putting more money toward transport investments, to ensure a more reliable and efficient public transport system.

The department says the initiative will create close to 65 000 direct and indirect jobs, over a ten year period.
