Kwaito musician Brickz back in court

Local musician - Spho Brixkz Ndlovu is expected to appear at the Roodepoort Magistrate's court today - in connection with the rape of a teenager.

The Tjovitjo star was arrested on November 1 last year - for allegedly raping a 17 year old girl in March 2013.

Brickz's lawyers have indicated that he will plead not guilty to all charges.

Kwaito musician, Sipho Ndlovu, also known as Brickz, will appear in the Roodepoort Magistrate's Court again in connection with the rape of a 17-year-old girl.

The 32-year-old musician is accused of raping the girl in March last year, but the rape was only reported in October.

Brickz was arrested and charged on November 1 last year. After unsuccessful attempts to obtain bail from the Magistrate's Court, his lawyers approached the High Court which granted him a R50 000 bail in December.

During his bail hearing, the musician's lawyers indicated that he intended pleading not guilty to the rape which allegedly occurred at his home in Honeydew west of Johannesburg.

The matter was postponed last month to allow Brickz to raise money to pay his lawyers.
