Madiba honoured outside parliment

Freedom day celebrations continue - with SA once again hounouring late President Nelson Mandela in Cape town this morning.

A bronze bust of the former president has been unveiled outside Parliament-to commemorate 20 years of freedom- and mzansi's first democratically elected President.

Meanwhile-President Jacob Zuma said SA would not forget the solidarity recieved from foreign nationals in the liberation of the country.

Freedom Day celebrations are set to continue this morning with the country once again paying tribute to the late father of nation in Cape Town.

A bronze bust of the former president will be unveiled outside Parliament.

The statue will be revealed to commemorate 20 years of freedom, Parliament and South Africa's first democratically elected president.

The statue, which is said to be around two meters tall is of a smiling Nelson Mandela looking toward the gates of Parliament.

Dozens of delegates including the former statesman's family and Member of Parliament are to attend the event.

The statue will be unveiled by President Jacob Zuma and the event will be followed by a mass thanksgiving and prayer meeting at the Good Hope Centre.
