Two Tshwane metro police officials will face a disciplinary action, following allegations of accepting bribes from motorists.

This allegedly took place at the intersection of Luttig and Maltzan streets in Pretoria West.

It is alleged a metro police investigator saw a motorist handing over cash to one of the officers who patrolled the area.

The suspects are said to have stopped 10 cars and one of them issued two fines and the other issued one.

Spokesperson Isaac Mahamba says the matter will be handled internally and that no criminal case has been opened.

"These members were not just only doing law enforcement on that area, they were also taking bribes and were arrested. What is going to happen now is that they'll face disciplinary action, and they'll be given seven days notice to explain to us why we shouldn't suspend them, and after that process will pronounce what is going to happen,"says Mahamba.
