The trial of Czech fugitive Radovan Krejcir and his five co-accused is set to resume today, at the Palm Ridge Magistrate's court.

A man who claims he was kidnapped by Krejcir and his co-accused after a drug smuggling deal went bad, has been sworn in as the second state witness.

Bheki Lukhele told the court the accused kidnapped him after his brother disappeared with 25kg of tik he was supposed to help transport to Australia for Krejcir.

The rape crisis in the country has reared in ugly head again after more than 50 girls were raped during the easter weekend in Mpumalanga.

Officials says 22 people have been arrested for their connection with the crimes with one of the suspects as young as 14 years old.

In efforts to avoid counterfeit banknotes the SA Reserve Bank has introduced new security features on the Mandela notes.

Three new little dots will be added on the front and back of all the notes to enhance its quality as they were previously defective.

Last year it was found that a visible security thread embedded on the Randelas exposed it to counterfeiting
