Another public spat is brewing between the DA and the ruling party over an alleged picture by the opposition's Deputy Chief Whip Michela Waters.

Waters tweeted a picture likening ANC voters to dogs , caused another uproar on twitter , a week after the EWN was attacked for an alleged racist cartoon.

ANC members are picketing outside the Primedia head office this morning, in protest against a cartoon that was posted on the Eye Witness News site.

The cartoon which depicted some ministers as clowns and citizens who voted them in as fools, sparked an uproar on social media.

EWN has apologised saying, the feedback had been refered back to the cartoonist for further discussion and reconsideration.

Axed Sadtu boss Thobile Ntola is expected to challenge his expulsion by appealing it at the union's national congress in October.

Ntola was fired on Monday, after being guilty of misconduct and having innapropriate relationships with service providers.

Sadtu's deputy general secretary Nkosana Dolopi, says his expulsion is not related nor connnected to Cosatu general secretary Zwelinizima Vavi

Sadtu president Thobile Ntola was expelled for having inappropriate relationships with service providers.

This is word from the union's deputy general secretary Nkosana Dolopi saying there's no link between Ntola's expulsion and Cosatu's general's secretary Zwelinzima Vavi.

Ntola says his expulsion is part of a political plot to silence him,he spoke about his suspension

The African National congress has surpassed the 3million votes mark and the DA is second passing the 1million votes mark in the 2014 national elections.

The ANC is now making up 60.45 % of all counted votes while DA is 25.65% and the EFF with 4.35 %.

The IEC has completed the counting and capturing of votes after 72% of registered voters took to the polls for the fifth general elections yesterday.

IEC Chairperson Pansy Tlakula says out the votes that have been counted 1.44% of those have been recorded as spoilt ballots.

Tlakula says Gauteng and the Kwazulu Natal province which are the provinces which had the highest registered voters have the lowest percentage of captured votes

The matter between the ANC and the official opposition is expected back in the Electoral court this morning after the high court ruled in favor of the DA.

The ruling party took the matter straight to the Supreme Court of Appeal to challenge the ruling that compelled them to pay for the legal fees.

The court found that the DA's anti-Nkandla SMS sent to one million potential voters was a fair comment.

This was the judgement delivered by the Johannnesburg high court dismissing the ANC's application with costs.

The ANC wanted the DA to publictly retract the SMS apologise or be fined an ammount of up to R200 000.
