More than a year after South African teacher Pierre Korkie was kidnapped by al-Qaeda in Yemen, humanitarian organisation Gift of the Givers says he has been spotted alive for a third time in as many months.

The Bloemfontein teacher and his wife Yolande were kidnapped in May last year.

Yolande was later released in the hope that she could raise a R30 million ransom but the campaign has been unsuccessful thus far.

The brutal fruit netball cup presented by Netball SA was unveiled earlier this month - and is set to be a game changer for the sport in the country.

Netball SA president Mimi Mthethwa says the excitement is building up and there is much expectations from the netball followers and fans via social media.

Archbishop Desmond Tutu has reiterated that he would not vote for the ruling party when the nation hits the polls on May 7.

Tutu has been vocal about his disappointments with the ANC stating that they have veered off the dreams of its past leaders.
